Darth Vader (Limited Edition) - Prop Replica
The original iconic Darth Vader helmet, as seen in Star Wars
Episode IV: A New Hope, was sculpted by Brian Muir based on
the concept sketches by beloved illustrator Ralph McQuarrie.
Even though there were 3 known castings made from the mold
made from Muir's sculpt, only 1 helmet was used in the
entire filming of A New Hope.
eFX's master pattern was cast from vintage molds in the
Lucasfilm archives which are believed to have been made by
none other than Rick Baker from the screen used Vader helmet
back in 1977. What makes this a very special product is that
the master pattern is NOT made from a digital scan, it is an
actual, original casting. This means that this replica
helmet will have direct lineage to the original and be as
true to the actual filming prop as you can possibly get
This helmet has the asymmetric geometry that many feel
capture the true evil essence of Darth Vader. The face mask
will have the screen accurate two-toned black and gunmetal
sprayed paint scheme. The dents and scratches that were in
the original mold have been filled in or removed, giving the
helmet a more pristine appearance but still remaining
faithful to the original filming prop. |

TIE Fighter (Limited Edition) - Prop Replica
In order to make the most accurate replica of this iconic
ship, a number of different reference resources were used.
More than 90% of the model kit parts that were used on the
original model were identified. A digital scan of a TIE
model in the Lucasfilm archives, was used to map the parts,
verify the dimensions and scratch build the model kit parts
that either could not be found or identified. An original
TIE Fighter that is known to have been used in the filming
of Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope was used to match the
correct colours.
Our new TIE Fighter FX Model will be a "most impressive"
addition to your Star Wars collection. It is also the
perfect "companion" to our X-wing starfighter, Red 5, to
re-enact the exciting Death Star trench run in the climactic
Battle of Yavin. |

Skywalker (Limited Edition) - Prop Replica
In Episode IV: A
New Hope, Luke Skywalker was assigned the wing position of
Red Five and flew his X-wing starfighter in the Battle of
Yavin against the Empire's mightiest weapon, the dreaded
Death Star. Using all his skills as a bush pilot in Beggar's
Canyon back home, and with the Force now as his ally, Luke
manoeuvred down the Death Star's trench.
The original helmet was made from an APH-6B Vietnam era
flight helmet used by the US Navy, circa 1969. This helmet
included the dual visor cover. A ridge was also added over
the top from front to back. The helmet was then cast in
halves to make the master pattern and the X-wing pilot
helmets were then vacuum formed from these patterns. Upon
assembly, a strip of ABS was added to hide the parting line
of the two halves
The eFX X-wing pilot helmet is a faithful recreation of the
iconic helmet that Luke Skywalker wore in the exciting Death
Star trench run in the epic battle of Yavin. Utilizing a
digital scan of an original X-wing helmet in the Lucasfilm
archives and an actual APH-6B helmet, castings of an
original visor and chin cup, eFX’s engineers, model-makers
and artists painstakingly constructed the master patterns to
produce this prop replica. |
